FAQ · MLD
What is Manual Lymphatic Drainage?
MLD is a very light, rhythmic massage that stimulates your lymphatic system to move fluid, reduce swelling, and support your body’s natural detox and healing.
What does it help with?
Swelling and puffiness, post-surgical recovery, lymphedema support, sluggishness and water retention, and general relaxation.
Can I get MLD after surgery?
Often yes, and it’s frequently recommended — but please have clearance from your surgeon first, and let me know the details of your procedure.
What does a session feel like?
Very gentle — much lighter than a typical massage. Most people find it calming and leave feeling lighter.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on your goals. Some situations benefit from a series of sessions close together; we’ll make a plan that fits you.
